1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Chalkform, an independent app made by a sole trader in Queensland, Australia ("Chalkform", "we", "us"). By installing or using the Chalkform app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Your health and safety

• Chalkform gives general exercise coaching. It is not medical advice and doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
• Talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before you start if you have a heart or lung condition, high blood pressure, an injury, are pregnant or have recently given birth, or aren't sure whether exercise is right for you. The app's health questions help it adjust your plan, but they aren't a medical check.
• Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath, and get medical help if you need it. Tell the coach it hurt and it will ease your plan.
• Train in a clear space, on a non-slip surface. Make sure any bar, rings or furniture you use is secure and can hold your weight. Check your equipment before every session.
• The coach works from your phone's camera and can miss or misjudge a rep, especially if part of your body is out of the picture. Its counts and cues are a guide; you're responsible for training within your limits.

3. Who can use Chalkform

You must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, including to start a membership.

4. Memberships and free trials

• Chalkform's full coaching needs a membership. Memberships are sold and billed by Google Play, using your Google account's payment method, under Google Play's terms.
• The price, in Australian dollars including GST, and the billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
• Free trial: new members can start a 14-day free trial, once per Google account. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your membership starts and you're charged for the first period.
• Renewal: your membership renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. If the price goes up, Google Play will tell you before it applies.
• Cancelling: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Chalkform → Cancel. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies. If something's wrong, email us and we'll help.
• Early testers: test versions we invite you to before launch are free, may have bugs and may change or stop at any time.

5. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights. Where the law lets us limit our liability, and except for those guarantees, we provide Chalkform "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Chalkform in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, to the extent the law allows.

6. Using the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Chalkform on your own devices. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, its coach voice, drawings or content, or use it in a way that breaks the law or harms others. The app and its content belong to us and our licensors; open-source parts are listed in the app.

7. Changes

We'll keep improving Chalkform, so features may change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and tell you in the app before the change applies. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the app and cancel your membership.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
